Online gaming represents fun for most people, plus they’re a nice way to socialize with others. If they weren’t fun there wouldn’t be millions of people playing them. As with all other things, you’ll find some people better at games than others. When a person is getting involved with online gaming, that’s when it’s most true. No worries, though, because most people get a clue fairly quickly. A positive attitude plus anything you need such as a left-handed mouse, as an example. What we want to do now is discuss a few proven tips and tricks for more victorious online gaming.
Have the right stuff – the equipment you need. If you only play games online once in a while, this might not be a big deal. Just do a changeover on your mouse buttons. However, if you love your gaming, even on an occasional basis, you still may want to get a mouse for lefties; and that’s especially true for truly serious games like Warcraft/EverQuest. This will make it easier for you to "get your game on" and compete with the other people that are playing the game with you. Also, it doesn’t have to be gold-plated; you can find great deals almost anywhere.
It’s really best to avoid the alpha dog competitive spirit with gaming. Have some humility when you play. If you can do something a lot better than someone else, be cool about it and don’t bust their stones. And when you lose, and you will, avoid getting upset over it. Be straight and even about it, tell them you enjoyed the game, congratulations, and thank them. Work to get better by identifying why you lost, and then try to improve. Soon you will have lots of friends, and you can become quite popular which is nice.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. No question about feeling weird if you’ve never played with a leftie mouse and the shortcuts thing. When you’re meeting people, try asking others if they’re left or right-handed, and if you find someone who is left-handed maybe ask them if they can help you. Plus it’s always good to just ask them if they have any tips for you to improve. Lots of experienced players enjoy teaching "noobs" how to be better players. If you become good, then the situation will be reversed and you will be called upon to help others.
You can get a lot from online gaming. It’s fun interacting with all the other players. You can fulfill various fantasies. As you improve your skill level, you’ll find that online gaming is even more fun. That can mean having the right equipment (like investing in one of the left handed mouses) and being friendly to others even if you find them annoying (kind of like when you are at work). You shouldn’t, however, worry about it. Having fun is the most important online gaming rule!
